Where are you allowed to operate low speed vehicles on Kentucky Roadways?

Feb 21st, 2010

“Low speed vehicles” may only be operated on streets with a maximum speed limit of 35 mph or less according to Kentucky statute 189.282. The same rule applies to “alternative speed motorcycles” and “alternative speed vehicles.” Low speed vehicles are 4 wheeled vehicles that are manufactured to travel at a speed of 25 mph or less. Alternative motorcycles are two or three wheeled vehicles manufactured to travel at 40 mph or less.
