Matthew Troutman Nov. 7, 2022

A 15-year-old was driving a 2018 Polaris UTV on Kentucky Route 7 in Salyersville, Magoffin County, Kentucky on November 5th around 7pm when the UTV left the roadway and struck a tree. The UTV was carrying another 15-year-old and a 4-year-old. Both passengers died as a result of the accident and the driver was critically injured. There are many questions to be answered before knowing what claims can be made by the victims in this accident. The first question is who owned the UTV and was permission given to the 15-year-old driver to drive the vehicle on the roadway. Insurance issues will be complicated. Is the UTV covered by a homeowner’s insurance policy. Are there other insurance coverages that apply?

These circumstances will require the services of an experienced attorney to investigate and locate all available insurance and to maximize all benefits available to the victim’s family.
