Kentuckians Are Entitled to One Free Copy of Their Medical Records

Upon a patient's written request, a hospital licensed under KRS Chapter 216B or a health care provider shall provide, without charge to the patient, a copy of the patient's medical record. A copying fee, not to exceed one dollar ($1) per page, may be charged by the health care provider for furnishing a second copy of the patient's medical record upon request either by the patient or the patient's attorney or the patient's authorized representative.

Kentucky law restricts the use of motorcycles on a highway to people who possess a valid driver’s license; use an approved eye-protective devise, use a motorcycle equipped with a rear-view mirror, a permanently attached seat designed to carry a person in a safe manner; and has a footrest (KRS 189.285). Sometimes you will see people riding dirt bikes on the roadways in Kentucky and, generally speaking, dirt bikes do not have the features described above that is required by Kentucky law for use on a roadway.
